Liz was reading Psalm 91 recently, and wanted to share an encouragement from it with us all:
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Psalm 91:1 ESV
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
God promises us here that He will shelter us and give us rest.
He is my refuge, fortress, my God in whom I trust.
Psalm 91:2b ESV
We have to trust Him today as there is so much mistrust and suspicion around. He saves us from the deadly pestilence – and at this moment we are aware of what this means. He covers us with His feathers. He gives refuge under His wings. How wonderful to feel so cocooned in His love. He takes fear away. We all know that there is a lot of fear around, but in another passage He promises “Do not fear for I am with you”.
He is our refuge. He sends His angels to guard us and lift us up. For those who are feeling a bit down, especially those who live alone, He wants to lift you up. When we call He answers and delivers us from trouble.
Father I pray that today you will minister your compassion to those who are feeling alone and missing loved ones.
Father I ask that you encourage them today because You are such an amazing God and You love us unconditionally.
